Dr. Alex Wilson grew up in the English countryside, where her love for animals was evident from an early age. She rode horses every day and cared for a variety of animals - dogs, cats, hamsters, fish and chickens. She pursued her passion for science and animals at Cambridge University, earning a degree in Natural Sciences, before completing her veterinary studies with Honors at the Royal Veterinary College in London.

Luckily, the Royal Veterinary College is accredited with the American Veterinary Medical Association, so when her husband was asked to move to the Bay Area for work in 2014, it was an easy decision. After completing the North American Veterinary Licensing Exam and the California Licensing Exam, she was able to continue her passion for providing exceptional veterinary care in the local community. She has a special interest in dermatology and dentistry and enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery. 

When not at work, Dr. Wilson shares her life with her husband, their two Californian-born children, a lovable Aussie with a tail, and a spirited surrendered cat.
