Dr. Shirley Yang grew up in the East Bay Area. She received her B.S. in animal science at UC Davis, and attended veterinary school at St. George's University in Grenada. She finished her clinical training in Cornell, New York in 2014. She loves the variety in small animal general practice, with an extra passion in nutrition, gut microbiome, dentistry, and quality of life.

Dr. Yang received her CPCN (certified professional canine nutrition) in 2025 and offers nutrition consultations for those who are interested in fresh whole food diets. This includes raw feeding, gently cooked, air-dried, and freeze-dried options.

Dr. Yang moved to Santa Cruz in 2020 and enjoys all the beauty of coastal life. She is passionate about conscious living, building relationships, rock climbing, surfing, yoga, meditation, cooking, and constantly evolving in the health and wellness space for both people and animals. She has two dogs and a super soft spot for monkeys.
