Dr. Shirley Yang

Dr. Shirley Yang grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. She received her B.S. in animal science at UC Davis, and attended veterinary school at St. George's University in Grenada. She finished her clinical training in Cornell, New York in 2014. She loves the variety in small animal general practice. Her emphasis is on preventive care, dentistry, and quality of life in our dog and cat companions.

Dr. Yang moved to Santa Cruz in 2020 and enjoys all the beauty of coastal life. She loves spending quality time building deeper relationships with herself, family, and friends. She connects deeply with nature and is also an avid rock climber. Along with her partner, they founded a bouldering gym in beautiful Capitola to create a safe space to bring community together. They share life with a cutie pie Maltese mix rescue Mowgli (in picture) and a gentle giant white German shepherd mix Jaeger. She is also passionate about surfing, yoga, cooking, hot tubbing, cold plunges, and learning about nutrition and quality health.
