DVM - Retired

Dr. Steve Amaro

Dear Evergreen Family,

It is with immense gratitude and bittersweet joy that I bid farewell to Evergreen as I begin my next adventure, retirement.

I came to Evergreen in 1984 after graduating from LSU in my home state of Louisiana, and then completing my internship and two-year residency at the Animal Medical Center in New York City.

Shortly after starting at Evergreen I became a partner, and Dr. Barbara Lee joined the partnership the following year. What a great team we have made!

Together Dr. Lee and I have built our Evergreen family. You could not find a more dedicated and skilled staff! I am so grateful to each of them for their contributions in making Evergreen a very special place in our community and in our hearts.

I have been equally blessed with our wonderful client families who have entrusted me with their fur babies these last 36 years. It has been a tremendous journey with all of you. It is heartbreaking to say good-bye to this very special place in my heart, however it is also with joy that I reflect on all that has been. Of course, knowing Evergreen will still be in the caring and capable hands of Dr. Lee and our team makes this all so much easier.

Thank you all for your loyalty and friendship all these years; it has been an honor.

Fondly, Dr. Steve Amaro
